One-By-One

This page is for the updated version of Animated Zombies. However, as there is an embargo at the moment n the release of the animation this page will only show stills from the animation.

This time as the animation technique used was more complex than the previous 'Animated Zombies' animation there are only 3 clips making up the animation rather than the 6 that were previously used.

If you look at the previous 'Animated Zombies' work you will see that it has no background whereas this does. I decided that 'One-By-One' should have backgrounds to differentiate it from the previous work and to show how my animation skills had progressed and developed.

This is a still from the first clip that I called Barman.

This is a still from the second clip entitled Baseball

These 2 are stills from the last clip entitled Semaphore.

The above 3 titles were only working titles, that only I and the tutors at university knew. It allowed for distinction between the 3 clips I was using.

This was the title card that I planned on using, but having read through the module brief and having discovered logo's were not allowed I had to cut it from the finished animation.
This is the portrait photo I submitted alongside my work. I edited it in Adobe InDesign to add the text to the card. The advantage of doing this, is that any text can be added if it needed to be done so. This saves time as you only have to edit the photo rather than having to go back and take the photo again.

The above and below images are supporting artwork that I designed to go alongside 'One-By-One'. I decided to still use the 'Animated Zombies' title for this as I see it as being an ironic title when you consider that Zombies generally speaking aren't known for bing that animated.

The above and below images show what the animation could have looked like without a background, and the vast improvement that is made by having a background.
